What to Expect
Were you or your child removed from your family? As a First Nations child, were you placed into the care of the child welfare system between April 1, 1991, and March 31, 2022? Are you the parent who cared for the child at the time they were first removed? You could both receive $40,000. Not sure if this money could be for you? A claims helper will be sharing information about the class action settlement and process to claim for compensation. They can also provide private support with filling out claim forms.
