Join us for the Gathering of Voices, a seasonal event where First Light staff come together with community and allies to talk about urban Indigenous priorities, reflect on progress toward truth and reconciliation, and reaffirm commitments to the Calls for Change.
This is a space for open conversation and connection: a time to share, listen, and reflect. It’s an opportunity to learn from one another and strengthen the relationships that guide First Light’s advocacy work.

There is no cost to attend. All participants are invited to stay for a community feast following the discussion.

Returning Without Leaving: Language and Culture Camp Across Signal Hill
Returning Without Leaving is a Language and Culture Camp grounded in the understanding that our languages, cultures, and relationships to this place were never lost. As an urban Indigenous community, our presence here is strong, living, and deeply rooted. Gathering across Signal Hill, we come together to share teachings, stories, and ways of knowing that have always been here. This camp is not about reclaiming what disappeared, but about carrying forward living knowledge through connection, practice, and community.
