Colonial Statue Wrapping (2025)

On September 30, 2025, First Light and community members came together to wrap statues across St. John’s in orange shirts: each one braided and tied together by many hands.

This collective action honoured the children who never returned home, the survivors, and their families. It served as a public reminder that every child matters, and that truth and reconciliation must live beyond a single day.
