A Welcoming Space for Families to Learn, Play, & Connect
First Light’s Family Resource Programs provide opportunities for families to come together in a welcoming, culturally safe space. These programs help parents and caregivers connect with their children, build community, and explore culture through play, learning, and shared experiences.
Our offerings will grow and change over time. We currently are hosting the following programs:
- Baby & Me (ages 0 to 2) – A space for parents and caregivers to bond with their babies, connect with others, and engage in gentle activities that support early development.
- Playgroup Pals (ages 0 to 6) – A fun and interactive group where children can play, explore, and learn alongside their families in a culturally supportive environment.
- Rainbow Readers (ages 0 to 6) – A welcoming program for families to enjoy age-appropriate Indigenous storytelling & culture.
- Kids Closet (ages 0 to 6) – Welcoming space for caregivers to pick up clothing & seasonal items their children may need.
- Active Spirit (ages 6+) – Join us for fun, active play & traditional Indigenous games in a friendly space full of laughter, movement & culture.
We also offer pop-up programs throughout the year and are always working to create new opportunities for families. Check back regularly to see what’s available, as we continue to grow our programming and resources!
