Community Cultural Circle is a group that meets once a week and is available to individuals of all walks of life. Its function is to introduce participants to the rudimentary concepts of Indigeneity through the blending traditional Indigenous knowledge with contemporary ideologies. Its method of delivery reflects the concepts of traditional talking circles and as such, implements Indigenous ceremonies (including but not limited to drumming and sacred medicines). It operates through assessing, understanding, and reflecting upon a holistic approach to self-care and self-exploration through an Indigenous lens.
Community Cultural Circle operates on Wednesdays from 6-7:30pm at First Light headquarters – 716 Water Street.
