Community Culture Circle : Drumming 🥁
Join us for an evening of First Nations drumming, beginning with a smudge and introduction talking circle.
Hello friends! Join us for an evening of First Nations drumming, beginning with a smudge and introduction talking circle. We encourage you to bring your own drum if you have one, but can provide a drum to anyone who doesn’t!
Transportation is provided within St. John’s city limits.
There is a water cooler on site, so please feel free to bring your water bottle 🙂
ℹ️ As of March 14th, all programs will follow the Government’s public health guidelines. There are no restrictions when it comes to vax passes, social distancing, or wearing masks. While wearing a mask is strongly recommended, it is not mandatory. You should do what feels best for you.
About Community Culture Circle:
Community Cultural Circle welcomes individuals of all walks of life. Its purpose is to introduce participants to the rudimentary concepts of Indigenous traditions through teachings, sharing knowledge, and participation in ceremony. Participants engage in an introduction talking circle, a smudging ceremony, and First Nations drumming as well as receive teachings for each of these practices. Community Culture Circle allows a safe, nonjudgmental space for community members to come together, share their stories, and enjoy each other’s company as they connect with the roots of Indigenous culture. It allows spiritual connection to ourselves and/or the Creator, reflecting upon a holistic approach to self-care and self-exploration through an Indigenous lens.
