Newfoundland and Labrador Folk Festival looks to the past while focusing on future

ST. JOHN’S, N.L. – As the Newfoundland and Labrador Folk Festival gears up for its 42nd year, the event is looking back to its roots by honouring Aidan O’Hara with a lifetime achievement award.

O’Hara, an award-winning CBC producer and writer, emigrated to Newfoundland from Ireland in 1973 with his wife and children to attend Memorial University.
